Summary

I am currently working as a research associate under Professor Kyu-Young Whang at Database and Multimedia Laboratory, KAIST. My research interests are directly related to the exciting fields of Information Retrieval, Knowledge Engineering, Semantic Web and Operating Systems. This exciting world of computing astonishes me to a remarkable extent; having a mathematical mind since childhood I have found Computer Science one of the most intriguing fields where Maths can do great wonders. I aspire to become a great computer science researcher and wish to make a contribution in this field in a positive way.

• Currently pursing MS by Research from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Daejeon, Korea on fully funded scholarship.
• BS (Computer Science)University of Karachi,Pakistan with the CGPA of 3.92 on a scale of 4.0 with 1st position in 2007 batch(Graduated in December 2007).

• Working as Research Associate at UnHuman Productions, a private sector based R&D organization committed to do research in Computer Science (January 2007-present)
• Worked as Software Engineer at Technology Orbit and working on Web 2.0 technologies (November 2007-January 2009)

• Image SemSearch: Initially a brainchild of mine and my project partner Muhammad Atif Qureshi but then taken under UNHP it is a search engine which is based on ontology-driven principles leading to a semantic-based searching mechanism for images.
